Lots of Catching up to do!

When I logged on I realized it's been way too long since my last blog.  I mean, I knew it had been a while, but Hunter was 3 weeks old last time I posted pictures.  He just turned 9 weeks old this week.  In my defense, things here have been rather crazy, but at any rate, I'll try to make this the condensed version of what's been happening since our last post.

First, I will warn you ... I can't post 6 weeks worth of pictures and keep my sanity, so as I downloaded the last 6 weeks of pictures and laughed and cried as I went through them, I picked a few of my favorites.

Let's get started...

So Halloween came and went and we received word that the loan we applied for regarding the new house fell through.  After scrambling to find a new lender who worked nothing short of a miracle to close our loan in under 30 days, we finally closed on our new house the day before Thanksgiving.  God Bless my family for helping us move over Thanksgiving so we could be out of the old house in time for the buyers to take pre-possession on December 1st.  A great big Thank You too to all of our friends who helped us move and organize and unpack!!

In the midst of all this craziness, we had to put our beloved Mocha dog to sleep.  She had a lot happen in a short amount of time and it turned out that she had lymphoma - a very agressive form - and the vet gave her only a few weeks at best.  Such a hard decision and we miss her terribly, but it was the best thing for everyone.  When we informed the breeder we purchased her from about the cancer, she offered us a replacement, as Mocha was only 3 years old.  While no doggie can replace her, we may take her up on her offer in a few years when the kids are bigger.

Then came Christmas ... a week early ... since Eric had to work Christmas day.  We took Abby and Suzie to the boarding place around the corner and they had a blast on their vacation playing with all the other doggies in the snow while we traveled to Crown Point to spend some time with our families.

Addisyn and Hunter had tons of fun playing with their cousins.  Aunt Julie and cousin Charles were at the Gettler's and we even got to play with cousin Ella at the Gettler Family Christmas Party.  Then they got to meet their new cousin Braden and had some fun playing with Spencer and Danielle at the Dixon house.  Our trip to Crown Point came and went way too fast and we were back home before we knew it!

This past week, we've spent unpacking and finding spots for all of our stuff in our new home.  This is quite the challenge as Addisyn likes to help mommy and it seems like every time mommy gets one thing put away, she has to go back and pick up 4 more things that baby drags out.  I wouldn't trade it for the world though!!

Hopefully with a little luck, Addisyn's teeth will finally all pop through and Hunter's head cold will go away and we'll have a happy household again!

Okay, enough rambling on and on.  Here are a few of my favorites from the past month...

"Do" ... this is what Addisyn says when she wants to "do" something ... typically accompanied by a shake of the head and a point with the index finger!  :)

I forgot I took these back in November when it was still warm outside at the old house.  I love this closeup of Addisyn playing in the leaves in the front yard.

Hunter and cousin Spencer.  This picture totally captures the fun loving spirit of our little boy.  Hunter is so sweet and his smile just melts my heart!!

So sweet!  This little guy is going to grow up with quite the hairdo!

Okay folks, I think I'm pushing my luck...Addisyn is asleep but I hear Hunter stirring ... I'm gonna post this and go get him up before he wakes up the whole household.  Everyone have a safe and Happy New Year!

Busy Busy Busy!!

My how time flies!!  I can't belive Hunter is 3 weeks old already!!  We've been keeping busy chasing after Addisyn and taking care of the little guy.  Addisyn is quite the big helper (when she's not going through a jealous stage).  Poor girl is also cutting 4 molars at once, so it's been quite the challenge to be patient with her lately!!  Hunter is doing well ... eating and sleeping.  He's started smiling and making cooing noises now too ... so sweet!!  We're up to about 3-4 hour stretches of sleep at night, so mommy is starting to feel human again!  Here are some pictures from the last few weeks ... enjoy!!

1 Year Old!!

Our precious little angel turned 1 year old yesterday, September, 11th!!  I can't believe how fast this past year has flown by and how big Addisyn has gotten these last few weeks!  She seems to have sprouted up overnight and is getting quite tall.  She took her first solo steps last weekend when mommy was home - such a big girl now!  She'll be running before we know it!!

We had an awesome day yesterday with family and friends!!  I think Addisyn's favorite part of the day was carrying around the balloons that we got for her party!  She loved them and wouldn't let them go!  At one point, she had 4 helium balloons and strings everywhere. LOL!!  Even though it rained in the morning, we managed to squeeze in her 1 year photo session.  Kaila was gracious enough to stay and take photos of the party too since mommy was busy with entertaining and all, so we'll have to wait a couple weeks till she gets our photos all put together.  Here are some that we managed to snag throughout the day though.  Enjoy!!

Okay, this one was from last week.  Addisyn was starting to walk by herself and I was trying to juggle the camera and her at the same time.  She was too fast, so all I got was a close up!

Birthday morning after mommy got the balloons.  Addisyn kept pointing and saying "oooooooohhhh".  She loved her balloons!!

Grandma and Grandpa arrived just in time to help Addisyn carry all of her balloons all around the house!!

Addisyn's First Birthday Cake!!

More decorations for the table!!

In case anyone couldn't tell...the party was here!!

Addisyn's Birthday Sign (thanks to Renata for letting us borrow it)!!

Sunday morning, Addisyn got up and was right back to playing with the balloons!!  Notice her belly sticking out ... so sweet!! :)

We had to charge the 4-wheeler overnight, but Addisyn was having a blast trying to hold the button and make it move by herself!!  She would push the button and let go really quick and it would jump forward .  She laughed and laughed!!  Thank you Ty and Carm and Ariel and Zane!!

Excuse me Daddy!  I'm trying to get over here!

Playing with one of her new activity center toys.  She was trying to put the key in the lock to open the box!!  Such a smart little girl!!

That's all we have for now.  Mommy forgot her camera when we took Addisyn for a wagon ride. She LOVES her Radio Flyer wagon from Uncle Joey!  We'll get more pics this week.  And I promise to post the link when Kaila has more pictures ready for us!!

Love you all!
