We had a very tiring first week!!
Mom was put on bedrest due to high blood pressure early in the week. Friday's checkup resulted in doctor's orders for blood pressure medicine and no more Claritin... this should be a fabulous fall with allergies out the wazoo now, but what are we going to do?!?
Addisyn has our impatient genes and decided that the whole nursing thing was too much work so she didn't want to nurse right away. After a couple trips to meet with the lactation consultant and a
whole lot of patience, we finally figured it all out!
We also had our first and second trips to the pediatrician this week. Tuesday's checkup went well. She got a clean bill of health and Friday's weight check showed she was almost back to her birth weight!
Here are some pictures from our first week...

Nana couldn't wait to meet and snuggle with you! She drove down from Crown Point and came straight to the hospital to see you!

Grandma knows how much you love the rocker!

Our original going home outfit was a wee bit too warm for today, so we had to go with a second option. Still cute as a button though!!

All strapped in and ready to go for a ride. We love our car-seat. Just like our mommy...grandma used to take her for a ride to put her to sleep.
Addisyn had lots of visitors this week too...

We got lucky and Grandpa had to be in town for work this week. He came to see us lots of times this week!

Uncle Justin surprised us Wednesday afternoon with a visit.

Uncle Joey couldn't wait to see his Tigger!

Uncle Jake came to visit between work and school.

Aunt Julie flew in from North Carolina to see us for the weekend. Uncle Edwin tasked us with persuading Aunt Julie that she doesn't need a baby of her own right now. I think Addisyn got the message. Aunt Julie held her for less than 5 minutes and Addisyn showed her what happens when she gets a dirty diaper. LOL!
Chilling with Daddy!

We love our swing!!

Baby and Mommy's first bath. This is a lot trickier than it looks!!
That's all for now. Check back next week for more stories!! :)
